A delightful vintage English bone china tea trio by Colclough, decorated in the celebrated Braganza No. 8454 pattern.

The three-piece setting comprises a footed teacup, matching saucer and side plate, each decorated with delicate flowers and trailing foliage in shades of turquoise, blue and grey, beautifully contrasted against white bone china and finished with elegant gold gilded rims.

Braganza has become particularly collectible through its association with the classic British television comedy Keeping Up Appearances.

It is the pattern associated with Hyacinth Bucket's famously treasured tea service, repeatedly described by Hyacinth as her:

“Royal Doulton with the hand-painted periwinkles.”

In reality, the familiar service was Colclough Braganza, making these pieces an amusing and instantly recognisable collectible for fans of the programme as well as collectors of vintage English china.
