Presented in their impressive original Victorian bindings with burgundy boards, leather spines and corners and elaborate gilt Masonic symbolism, including the Square and Compasses and ceremonial collar.

Condition: The contents and illustrated plates present well for their age, with expected foxing and age toning. The original bindings show considerable age-related deterioration, particularly to the leather spines and joints, including losses, splitting and looseness. Sold in original unrestored condition and priced accordingly. Please examine photographs carefully.

Despite the binding condition, this remains an impressive 140-year-old reference work and important piece of Masonic publishing history, particularly desirable as a complete set.
