A highly collectible 1946 United Manufacturing Company “Sea Breeze” five-ball electro-mechanical pinball machine, manufactured in Chicago, Illinois.

Introduced in December 1946, Sea Breeze is an important early United production machine. Contemporary advertising announced it as United's first brand-new five-ball novelty/replay game, following the company's earlier production of rebuilt and converted amusement machines. World Radio History

This wonderfully evocative post-war machine features an outstanding nautical theme, with yachts, sailors, seaside imagery and vibrant period graphics.

The colourful original-style Sea Breeze backglass presents particularly well, while the playfield retains its distinctive numbered bumpers and vivid red, blue and yellow maritime decoration.

Unlike later pinball machines, Sea Breeze predates the widespread introduction of player-controlled flippers, making it an excellent example of the classic flipperless electro-mechanical pinball era.

Manufacturer: United Manufacturing Company

Offered as a restoration project and currently not operating.

The machine retains a particularly attractive backglass and playfield. The cabinet has received an older repaint and exhibits expected age-related wear. Coin chute/coin-entry components are missing. Some playfield components require refitting/restoration, the original legs currently have one fixing bolt each rather than two, and a cabinet/frame crack requires attention.

The machine will require electrical and mechanical servicing before operation.

Its approximately 80-year-old original character has intentionally not been over-restored, making it an excellent candidate for sympathetic recommissioning.
